Forbes Hip-Hop Cash Kings 2012: Inside the List

Last year the greatest producer ever in hip-hop finished as the no. 8 ranked in earnings with $14M, but a year later André tops everyone with $110M in earnings. Although his long awaited Detox album still has yet to see light here on Earth, he’s been making a killing with his Beats By Dr. Dre franchise.
Coming in at No. 2 was P. Diddy who saw a $7M increase as he had a very strong year mostly contributed from his Diageo’s Ciroc vodka. Lastly, Jay-Z came in at third seeing a $1M increase over the year at $38M which was largely contributed to the cosmetics co. Carol’s Daughter, the Brooklyn Nets, and a joint venture with Duracell.
