The biggest accessory news out of Paris Fashion Week - well is the hula-hoop bag that Karl Lagerfeld showed at Chanel for Tuesday's Spring 2013 runway show.

The accessory in question is an oversized envelope bag in the style of Chanel's classic quilted leather - but strung between two hula hoops.

Karl has confirmed he came up with the item when thinking of what fashionable women need on holiday."For the beach. You need space for the beach towel, huh? And then you can put it into the sand and hang things on it," he told telegraph.co.uk.

It's all about volume and lightness, which normally don't go together," Lagerfeld told the AFP backstage about the giant bag.

Fourth Bvlgari hotel to open in Shanghai by 2015

 

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts will open a new hotel in Shanghai in 2015, announced Bulgari China on its Sina Weibo microblog Thursday.

The new hotel, to be located in a riverside complex in the artistic district of Suhe Creek, will be the fourth for the luxury hospitality group, a joint venture between Italian jeweler Bulgari and Marriott International.

Armani launches golden fragrance for Le Bon Marcé

  

Giorgio Armani is launching a limited edition of its “Rose d’Arabie” fragrance, from its Armani/Privé line of high-end perfumes.

A newcomer in the One Thousand and One Nights collection, the limited edition “Rose d’Arabie” draws inspiration from the riches of the Orient.

Dubbed “L’Or du Désert,” the new fragrance is based on saffron, Damask rose extracts, patchouli and amber. Armani’s parfumeurs also mixed in pure gold flakes that leave a golden glint of the skin.

The limited edition fragrance will only be available at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche from September 15 onwards to celebrate the department store’s 160th anniversary. The 100ml spray version will be priced at €255.

BMW M5 police car unveiled in Munich

 

BMW has unveiled an M5 police car at the Welt Museum in Munich, Germany. Dressed in traditional livery, the model has a black grille and a light bar.

In the past, BMW has been known to produce super fast emergency response vehicles, ranging from fire department and ambulance vehicles, to the police cars.

Now the 560 horsepower F10 M5 gets the green and white paint job specific to the Bavarian police, along with flash lights on top of the hood.

The four-door saloon is able to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds and to reach a top speed of around 190 mph (305 km/h).
